we had a surprise party for my boss. the party (a pot luck) included lots of food and left me with cake crumbs on my mouth. there was an array of fruit trays, veggie trays, quiche, cheese, olives, homemade melitzanosalata with pita chips, brownies, cup cakes and all sorts of treats.
so…for dinner tonight i wasn’t up for a big meal, even after my hunger inducing mega workout. so for a good dose of post workout protein, i made one of my favorite shakes. a chocolate, tofu, banana shake.
chocolate tofu banana shake1/2cup milk (i use nonfat) 4oz silken tofu 1 banana (i like using a frozen banana, it makes the shake take on an ice cream texture… and ice cream is my weakness). 1 heaping tablespoon cocoa powder drizzle of honey or agave nectar scant handful of ice combine all ingredients in a blender and mix until smooth.
the shake is a great combo of potassium and protein, perfect for my cake crumbed mouth.feliz, faith
